Theme: Roots & Revolution – 10th edition celebration
This year, the Oslo International Flamenco Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary with a double program that honors flamenco’s deep roots, its revolutionary spirit, and the powerful diversity within the artform.
Join us for an evening of movement, music, and connection — a journey from tradition to innovation.
Part 1 – Dance | 18:00–19:30
Roots: Spanish Classical Dance, Folk and Traditional Flamenco with World-Class Artists on Stage
Program:
18:00–18:30
Spanish Folk & Classical Dance
Laura Fúnez & Daniel Ramos
This opening act pays tribute to the rich traditions of Spanish dance in all its forms — stylized folk, Escuela Bolera, and classical Spanish dance.
A deeply expressive and elegant performance by internationally acclaimed dancers, including soloists from the Ballet Nacional de España, that invites the audience into flamenco’s early world.
18:30–19:30
From the Cafés Cantantes
Zaira Prudencio & Federico Ordoñez (dance)
Carmen García (flamenco guitar)
Pedro “El Niño de la Fragua” (cante)
Inspired by the legendary Cafés Cantantes of the late 19th and early 20th century — intimate venues where flamenco thrived through powerful exchanges between artists and audience — this performance revives the flavor, emotion, and spirit of a golden flamenco era.
A sensorial experience that bridges generations, with acclaimed and emerging talents from leading Spanish flamenco companies & Ballet de Andalucia .
Part 2 – Music | 20:00–21:30
“Revolution in Flamenco Rhythm”
Ready to move?
For the first time, the festival presents a headliner focused on music and rhythm: PATAX, one of Spain’s most groundbreaking flamenco-jazz-funk collectives.
With more than 100,000 followers and over 25 million views, PATAX has toured across four continents, blending flamenco with jazz, funk, soul and Afro-Cuban groove — high-energy, virtuosic and vibrant.
This is flamenco for a new generation — joyful, electric, and impossible to sit still to.
Don’t miss their debut in Norway!
