Minnekonsert for Richard Danquah

Richard Danquah turned 36 years old.
It is a dear friend, colleague and a great capacity, artist, educator and contributor who has passed away ....
And You big world! has also lost a valuable board member.

We are many who miss him greatly, and who are grateful to have been allowed to get to know him, cooperate with him and be carried away by his commitment ...
Richard is highly respected in the Norwegian music and dance environments; both as a performing artist, choreographer and educator.
Richard did it himself from the first moment; did not ask for help, but offered his contribution - and created respect and recognition for his art by laying the groundwork himself.
At the same time he developed his pan-African dance ensemble KUSUM GBOO - for which he was artistic director - and which he toured both in Africa and Europe, and to many places in Norway; with their own choreographic productions over 20 years. He was a great ambassador for his home country, Ghana, in Norway.
Richard was an artistic capacity who did not rest until he had to let go of life so far too soon, and with so much undone ...
There is a lot to bring forward in what Richard laid the foundation for, built up and in all his plans for the future ....
Our thoughts go to his wife Ellen Marie, daughter Victoria, family in Ghana and to his life's work Kusum Gboo Dance Ensemble.
