Tore Brunborg is a major in Norwegian jazz, most often as a musician for others, but now as a bandleader and composer. Brunborg music is intense and powerful, but in a quiet and contemplative way, with strong and obsessive melodies. At Belleville, the National Jazz Stage gives the first hatch in the Christmas calendar extra content when a new edition of the Tore Brunborg Quartet. Kleive and Vågan are known to most people in this country, and with them is canon guitarist Krister Jonsson. The four gave the audience a chin drop during this year's Night Jazz and it's just to look forward to a solid upswing at Belleville!
