This years festival lasted for three days, and each one was different from the other. The emotions that accompany listening to live music and the emotions of artists playing for the first time since months on stage, were enormous. We are greatful for the meeting with the artists of Djangofestivalen family, and the exchange of energy was the most wonderful part of the experience.
We thank our audience in Oslo for coming and for still feeling the love for string swing and the essence of Django Reinhardt.
The festival program was varied and complex, each of the three days contributing a different perspective of Reinhardt’s music. Enormous emotions were in movement as many of the artists were playing for the first time in months on stage, and the listeners of the live music were moved as such.
We as organizers feel a humble gratitude for meeting the artists of the Djangofestival family. The exchange of exuberant energy was mostly wonderful, and we thank our loyal audience – you clearly still feel the love for Django’s music.
Miloud Guiderk, the Artistic Director of Cosmopolite, created the program of the festival. After a two-year break from the Cosmopolite stage, the festival returned with great force. Due to the current restrictive situation, work, travel, logistics and bookings was made more difficult. Continuing changes were bravely handled by Anna Sienkiewicz. I would like to give a big hand of applause to the entire administration and technical team for the energy put in the festival. You made the musicians feel safe so they can focus on the music!
A great thank you to the audience in Oslo for joining us this festival!

The excellent polish bass-player Kinga Głyk, who will perform at Cosmopolite on the International Women’s Day on March 8th, got the opportunity to lead her band at a young age. This experience helped her become more confident and aware of her own opinions and desires. As a result, it made her a better person, she says in this interview.
Cosmopolite Scene are looking for dedicated volunteers who want to be part of an inspiring environment and contribute to creating amazing musical experiences. We want to expand our family, and we need your help!
